JR was born in Coshocton on October 31, 1982 to Don Patterson and Elaine Harper.
He loved to go fishing, hunting, the Pittsburgh Steelers and spending time with his family and friends.
JR is survived by his children Ethan Patterson and Maizy Starns of Coshocton; mother Elaine (Robert “Spanky” Vickers) Harper of Coshocton; siblings Jason (Melanie) Blanchard of Millwood, and Melanie and Max Patterson; grandfather James Jones of Coshocton; uncle Ron Jones of Coshocton; aunts Kay (Richard) Cox and Christie (Shawn) McVay both of Coshocton and several cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Don Patterson; brother Shawn Patterson and grandmother Rose Jones.
