Please join us in congratulating Ms. Somasree Roychowdhury, Doctoral Scholar (ME12D071), Department of Mechanical Engineering on winning the Best Paper Award for her paper entitled “Thermo-Catalytic Hydrogen Production on Rh/CeO2/γ-Al2O3 Composite” at the 11th International Energy, Exergy and Environment Symposium (IEEES-11 ) held in Chennai during July 14-18, 2019. She is guided by Profs. T. Sundararajan and Sarit Kumar Das.

CONGRATULATIONS Kushal Ghate and Shraddha Sharma on winning the “Third Prize” for their “Turbo Swirl Atomizer” in Aero India 2019 Show held at Bengaluru during February 2019. This novel atomizer enhances the spray atomization characteristics and provides good control on combustion, for gas turbine combustors. They are guided by Prof. T. Sundararajan.

Prof. S. R. Chakravarthy, Department of Aerospace Engineering on being conferred the ‘DRDO Academy Excellence Award’ for 2016 He had earlier received the same award in 2009.The current award is for his contributions to laser diagnostics in gas turbine combustion and to the establishment of the Centre of Propulsion Technology.

Dr. R. Vinu, Department of Chemical Engineering on winning the INSA Medal for Young Scientists (2018).

Prof. A. Ramesh, Department of Mechanical Engineering, has been being conferred the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ by the Society of Automotive Engineers India (SAEINDIA) Southern Section.

Dr. R. Vinu, Department of Chemical Engineering has been chosen for the ‘Amar Dye Chem Award’ for Excellence in Research and Development by the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE).
