They were fighting cats and dogs since they got married, but their fights seemed real. Mr. Peanutbutter then tells her he went to see his doctor in order see if he could make him feel better. She insists people will love it, and that love will transfer over to Mr. Peanutbutter. Diane, while pretending to be the thermostat, tells Mr. Peanutbutter not to talk so much. When Mr. Peanutbutter tries to talk to Pickles she quickly kicks him out. Todd and Emily pitch "Cabracadabra," a rideshare app that provides a safe space for women, to Mr. Peanutbutter in Stop the Presses. He approaches Jessica Biel while Mr. Peanutbutter watches in dismay. Later that night, Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter toast to their accomplishments, while sitting together in their living room. Joey then wishes Pickles best of luck with the wedding and that he hopes to have what Pickles has with Mr. Peanutbutter. Mr. Peanutbutter then realizes that all of his ex's used to be fun, but turned bitter and cruel after being with him but can't figure out the common denominator. It was also shortly before BoJack went to rehab. However, she inadvertently encourages him to keep trying when she tells him she thinks he would have been a great governor after he says even though he likes Woodchuck, he still wanted to beat him. As Mr. Peanutbutter and Pickles eat a large plate of spaghetti together, they both start to confess things that they'd normally not say on a date. Diane tells him that's great. In A Horse Walks Into Rehab, Princess Carolyn then gets a call from Mr. Peanutbutter. Pickles agrees with Mrs. Captain Peanutbutters sentiments saying that every time she gets trapped in a conversation with Captain Peanutbutter she thinks if she was married to him she would "gnaw her hand off just to get the ring off her body." In A Little Uneven, Is All, Mr. Peanutbutter is filming an episode of Birthday Dad with his costar Melodie and things are going well. Diane then says at some point you start to think it's you and you're the piece that doesn't quite fit. He tosses her the keys and tells her to take it for a spin. Todd celebrates his legal victory with a party at BoJack's house. A little while later while Mr. Peanutbutter looks through a script while on the set of Birthday Dad, Princess Carolyn approaches him and shows him a meme she made about Mr. Peanutbutter entitled sad dog" and the different variants of it. She runs off crying. He enters their home and greets Pickles with a hug, while also greeting her Pickle Pack, encouraging them to keep up the good work with their charming memes." Katrina snaps and angrily shouts "I AM NOT HAVING FUN," which interrupts the party. The therapist, Dr. Janet, tells Diane that for the next time she has to focus on putting her feelings into words. Todd then asks Princess Carolyn for a night off for his date with Maude. He confesses that he cheated on her twice a few months ago with Diane, much to Pickles grief, and she throws the ring again and starts screaming at such a high frequency that the glass window shatters. She's not too bothered by this, because they'll still look cute together. BoJack later shows up at Mr. Peanutbutter's house after losing his home. He says they are both two equally accomplished book writers. However, Mr. Peanutbutter answers the door to find Von Trapp and his followers, and they eerily state that they "know what [he] did.". Mr. Peanutbutter confesses that he does feel guilty but before he could say why Pickles interrupts him saying that he must feel guilty because BoJack is in rehab and he quickly agrees with her. Mr. Peanutbutter says he wants every day to be a happy one because they don't have many days left. She goes on to say Mr. Peanutbutter can't do hurtful things anymore because it's not OK. He tells her they'll talk about this when she comes home. BoJack says he was shocked Princess Carolyn managed to get him out of prison for the weekend. He also informs BoJack he's not nominated for an Oscar. However, Diane realizes that the notes he took were all gibberish, and he admits that he wanted to get back together with her. He recalls her not loving Starbucks, but loving the independent coffee place, although Starbucks is more convenient, showing Diane he does listen. They reveal that they're burning the clothes, as opposed to removing the stench, because Carolyn said to "get rid" of them prior. Although off-screen, BoJack then reminds Mr. Peanutbutter that he was in a rehab facility, and Mr. Peanutbutter subsequently leaves. A drunk BoJack tells everyone to make this party an annual thing, and he wants to see everyone back here next year. He says things like they'll all die one day, and it's cruel to let people love you because you're just promising one day you'll break their hearts. Mr. Peanutbutter announces the nominees and he and Todd flee back to his house. On Mr. Peanutbutter's House, he wore a dark blue collared button-down shirt with a 90s-esque geometric yellow, purple, and teal pattern on it, light blue jeans, brown belt, and white sneakers with Velcro straps. They get interrupted by Pickles again and this causes Diane to react harshly. Mr. Peanutbutter, after mentioning BoJack to Todd, is surprised by Todd's angry remarks on whether or not BoJack was their friend. While she was in a relationship with Mr Peanutbutter, BoJack planted a kiss on her lips but she was not interested in reciprocating the affection whatsoever. Mr. Peanutbutter tells Flip he thinks he's actually strangling her. Pickles tells Mr. Peanutbutter that she doesnt want to be mad at him, and Mr. Peanutbutter says thats great, going on to say that he knows he caused her pain but he still wants to marry her. Mr. Peanutbutter returns to his kitchen sulking and eats ice cream while not noticing Princess Carolyn and Todd hiding behind his couch. Paige questions about the boy. Spurred on by Margo Martindale at the courthouse to tell Diane his feelings for her, BoJack rushes to the wedding, only to be stopped by an angry Todd telling him to stop intruding in other people's lives. In Higher Love, Mr. Peanutbutter's frustrated accountant Oxnard tells him PB Livin' is bankrupt due to him and Todd going through with terrible business ideas. She was a waitress at Elefant . Diane says she's good in small groups and shouts that she hates parties, which interrupts the party. Diane realizes he doesn't want her to go to Cordovia. He asks Princess Carolyn to hire back the stunt double that he fired. Mr. Peanutbutter then tells him Judah mostly stays home with Ruthie. It has its ups and downs as she gains weight off antidepressants but she decides to move with Guy to Houston. Diane's stress with the wedding and her situation with BoJack culminates while shopping for wedding registry ideas with Mr. Peanutbutter, to which they ultimately decide to move the wedding up within the month and to hold a smaller celebration. After Mr. Peanutbutter walks away BoJack once again pulls out Hollyhock's unopened letter from his jacket, looks at it, and his hands shake. However, before celebrating, Mr. Peanutbutter realizes that the red envelope containing the nominations handed to him by Shep Von Trapp was gone. Mr. Peanutbutter begins Season 2 by wearing a dog cone, after having to get stitches in his arm after punching a mirror while he was drunk; as he thought his reflection another dog. Mr. Peanutbutter and Pickles make out while the space station explodes up above. Pickles tells Mr. Peanutbutter that the Pickle Pack is a part of everything she does, saying that her subscribers are with her through thick and thin. Though a seemingly odd couple at the beginning of the show, they have a sweet and productive relationship: Diane's sardonic intellect is balanced by Mr. Peanutbutter's blithe attitude. In Love And/Or Marriage, Mr. Peanutbutter and Diane are at couples therapy. At the end of Yes And, she tells Mr. Peanutbutter that it's too hard to talk to him on the phone all the time, and they shouldn't call each other for a while because she misses him too much. Mr. Peanutbutter says that he thinks he screwed things up really badly and maybe he should just wait for Pickles to come to him. Diane, deep down, is against Mr. Peanutbutter running for Governor, but she still shows support because she knows he won't get enough backers. Mr. Peanutbutter remains downstairs trying to get himself a glass of water while at the same time not noticing Princess Carolyn and Todd crawling around his kitchen floor with Ruthie. In Ancient History, Mr. Peanutbutter visits Princess Carolyn to VIM and tells her that since season one of Philbert has wrapped, he wants to auction a greeting card, which says, "Happy Birthday Dad" with a father dog and his kidsfor a movie, Birthday Dad. Mr. Peanutbutter then asks her if she likes Chicago and considers herself a Chicagoan. Mr. Peanutbutter says okay, but she has to come, and she agrees to come if he has the divorce papers. Diane says she isn't jealous either and leaves. She tells Pickles Mr. Peanutbutter is fully devoted to whoever he is in a serious romantic relationship with and she tells Pickles that she's that girl now. When Pickles asks how can they make things right, Mr. Peanutbutter says he wants them to be even somehow. Later that night, Mr. Peanutbutter goes home to find Pickles talking to the Pickle Pack on her phone. She then publishes her article, which leads to the two throwing and breaking their computers and coffee mugs, and Mr. Peanutbutter pins Diane to the wall as the two struggle against one another. BoJack asks if he's supposed to say "personal," but Flip says that's cliched and clarifies that it's "personnel," not "personal." Also, in After the Party and What Time Is It Right Now, where he upsets and angers Diane by doing grand gestures for her and giving her elaborate gifts which she tells him countless times throughout their relationship she doesn't like. Mr. Peanutbutter decides to try and toughen up his image. Diane nervously rambles about how she loved Horsin Around and how the show played a huge role in her formative years. Todd is enthusiastic about the idea, due to being high on marijuana. Princess Carolyn tells him that he isn't tough enough for the role. The two hit it off when they meet at a party arranged by Todd, BoJack, in particular, seems to be attracted to Diane, although to his envy and disgust, as he throws up after discovering this, she is dating Mr. Peanutbutter.
