Abstract :

Abstract : Mini LDV and other optical sensors have found a newly surge of interest both in educational as well as industrial research centers. Dr. Modarress will present MSE’s advancements in the areas of optical metrology related to flow measurement. Some examples of the applications for the flow sensors, including mini LDV and micro Pro (for wall shear measurement) will be presented. Dr.Darius Modarress Dr. Darius Modarress is the Chief Technology Officer and the Co-Founder of MSE in Pasadena, California, USA. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Ph.D. degree in Engineering. He has since been involved with a number small and start-up companies related to optical instrumentation. Dr. Modarress has had over thirty years of experience in the design, development, and marketing of imaging and non-intrusive sensors. He has been involved in all phases of the product development and marketing. Dr. Modarress is the co-author of over fifty (50) publications and owns ten (10) related patents and publications.
