Abstract :

The latest development of solid state laser technology has enhanced the performance of the simultaneous velocity and sizing measurements using the Phase Doppler technique. Solid state laser with high power and excellent beam quality can be embedded into a module with all the transmitting and receiving optics, forming a state-of-the-art and turn-key module to make measurements quickly and accurately. The Power Sight system, employing the latest solid laser technology and the patented signal processing design, provides the most reliable system for both Laser Doppler Velocimetry and Phase Doppler Velocimetry systems. The design of the Power Sight system will be presented, along with many key applications. Volumetric 3D3C measurement has been desirable because the complete flow structure can be explored. The latest V3V system provides the 3D3C results with excellent temporal resolution and the large volume to discover the flow down to the smallest turbulent structure. The patented V3V system can be used in all applications of liquid and gaseous flows, in water flume and in wind tunnel environments. The principle of the V3V system will be described, along with many applications which the system has been successfully applied.
